One of the most beautiful parks that I visited during my <a href="/canada/">Canadian road trip</a>. On the first day, we started with the northern sector, hiking from Mont Saint-Alban to see the cliffs, to wait patiently to glimpse the whales from a distance, and to explore the mountainous landscapes of Forillon National Park. The observation tower, less than 2 kilometres away, has views over Cap Bon-Ami with the city of Percé in the distance. We stopped for a picnic on Petit Gaspé Beach in the southern sector.  On the second day, we made our way through the southern sector, heading for Grande-Grave, which is the gateway to Cap Gaspé on the southern end of the Gaspé Peninsula. We wanted to see moose in the area, but we didn't get the chance. Nonetheless, we were able to watch the gannets as they fished, admiring the birds' impressive grace despite their size. Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé National Park is home to a colony of 120,000 birds.
