In Namibia, the desert shrouds every stopping place. The region of Bushmanland is one of the most isolated and most difficult to access regions in the country, a genuine trip off the beaten tracks. Between Tsumkwe and Grootfontein, I had to drive close to 250 kilometres on a desert road, to reach the gateway to Bushmanland. This road is long, very long and it isn't really conceivable if you don't have an all-terrain vehicle. 
My base camp was the Nhoma Safari Camp which, in addition to the accommodation, organises meetings with the Bushmen. So, I could briefly get to know about this culture by spending a little time in their village and seeing them go about their daily business. Intriguing and unconventional, this experience struck me, as these people are totally different from Westerners and they seem to be cut off from all modern civilisation. It's best to plan for 2 to 3 days there, as the journey is so long that, in my opinion, it isn't worth staying there just one day.
